Homeschool Eligibility Information
Homeschooling is an option for parents seeking an alternative to traditional public schooling in Arizona. Homeschooling gives parents full control over their child's education without financial assistance from the state.
Students may only participate in athletics at the school zoned for their residence.

Homeschooling
- Homeschooling in Arizona is legal and allows parents to take full responsibility for their child's education at home.
- Homeschooling parents are responsible for selecting and implementing their child's curriculum, teaching materials, and educational resources.
- Homeschooling parents must register with the county school superintendent in the county in which they live within 30 (thirty) days from the time the child begins attending homeschool. Yuma County Superintendent’s Office Homeschooling
- Call your school’s athletic department and request a meeting with the Athletic Director.
- Complete Homeschool Athletic Form.
- Bring the completed form and required documentation to the meeting.
- Athletic Participation Fee is $55 per sport.
- Tuition payment can be made at the school bookstore or through MySchoolBucks.

While participating in YUHSD athletics, students are subject to the regulations and policies outlined by YUHSD and the specific guidelines established for the school.
